870 FIFTH AVENUE, NEW YORK

The living room ceiling is a high gloss lacquer finish reflecting the room and the window with a pearlescence and shimmer that evokes watery reflecting surfaces. The walls were hand painted by Daniel Gliubizzi. He created a seamless grade from cerulean blue to a sandy beige at the base.

The curtains, fabricated by Interiors by Royale are hung on a satin brass rod with clear acrylic finials. The fabric, from Holland & Sherry, Andes Angora wool Melange Sateen has a very slight sheen and a luxurious soft hand.

The master bathroom has been repapered with Gracie’s hand painted Chinese Scenic wallpaper on pieced 18th Century style antiqued silver ground. We requested a water based lacquer coating to protect against humidity.

The light fixture above the mirror is from Sheryl Wagner and the recessed side lights are from Circa Lighting.

Holly Burguières.
